We hold a number of Beginners’ Courses throughout the year. The courses are aimed at people 14 years and over that have never fenced before or are returning to fencing after a period of time.
Numbers are currently capped at 10, so get in early to reserve your spot! Registration and payment for the course is all managed online. The fee covers hire of all the fencing specific equipment you will need for the course (subject to availability).
If you’re interested, you can register below. Once registered, please arrive 10 minutes before your first session to help with initial set up. For more details, click here.
By the end of the course you will have a good idea about whether you like the sport or not! To keep fencing after the course you will need to join the club as a member and pay a registration fee to the state association, Fencing WA. More details can be found on our Membership Registration page.
What to wear
You need to wear long track pants or sports leggings (more than knee length) and sport shoes; all fencing specific equipment is included in the course fee. You will be allocated an individual set of kit for use throughout the course.
For safety reasons shorts that are above the knees and jeans are not acceptable for fencing. If you are wearing either we reserve the right to exclude you from the fencing session.
